As a part of Maryland's harm reduction strategy, JACQUES is a designated Maryland Overdose Response Program. We provide overdose prevention education and training and dispense Naloxone, which is used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.

We also distribute free fentanyl and xylazine strips. Fentanyl test strips can help identify whether drugs have been mixed or contaminated with fentanyl. Xylazine test strips are used to detect the presence of xylazine. Both fentanyl and xylazine test strips can be used to detect potentially fatal substances and reduce the risk of overdose.
